Grand jury of September 1911Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2558Description
8"h x 10"w black and white photo of an older photo of the September 1911 grand jury. The men were standing in front of the Saint Mary's County Courthouse, using the steps as risers. There were twenty-three jurors and a bailiff, Haverman Norris. None of the jurors was identified. The carcass of a bug, who must have been between the original photo and its framing glass, was on the gravel in front of the jurors. There was a long porch above the men that had dentil molding and pairs of extremely simple columns. Round arched windows and an entry were visible behind the jurors.
