Gravelly Hills after renovation 1Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2012Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills after its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed the main and middle blocks of the house. The house looked lovely, with dark shutters on the windows and doors, curtains in the windows, wreaths on the door and electric candles in the windows. It probably was the Christmas season because the trees were completely bare. There were two dormers in each block, all with six over six windows. There were window coverings in the middle block dormers, but not the main block. There were two windows on the second floor of the middle block and one window and one door on the first floor. In the main block, there were two windows on the right and a window with some sort of panel under it on the left. The shutters framed the window and the panel. The far right shutter was missing. There were two windows on the first floor and a big front door. The door had full length shutters.
