1995.001.2015Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills after its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed the back of the entire house. There were two dormers on the roofs of the main and middle blocks. On the second floor of the main block, there were two six over six windows on the left and a larger window on the right. On the second floor of the middle block were four six over six windows. On the first floor of the small block, one window was visible. In the middle block there was two windows on the right and a screened porch on the left. Right next to that porch was a low gable roof that may have been for the well house. In the main block were two six over six windows and another screened porch. Chimneys were visible between the main and middle blocks and the middle and small block. Fruit trees that had been in the back yard were gone.
