3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills before its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. This view is of the front and one gable end of the house. The main block was on the left, the middle block was not as tall or wide, and the kitchen was on the right. The house was all built at once in 1847. There were chimneys (one partial) on the right side of the main black and one chimney toward the back of the near end of the middle block. The top of that chimney was in poor condition. There was a porch on each block. There were light rectangles on the main block where shutters once were. There were many, many clapboards missing from various places on all the walls. Much of the glazing was broken. The roof on the main block was not in good condition, nor was the roof on the kitchen.
