3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills before its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. This view focuses on the main and middle blocks of the front of the house. The main block was on the left and the middle block was not as tall or wide. The house was all built at once in 1847. A chimney was visible on the right side and to the back of the main black and one chimney was toward the back of the middle block. The top of that chimney was in poor condition. There was a porch on each block. The main entry door was on the left on the first floor, with two windows on the right. There were three windows on the second floor. There were light rectangles on the main block where shutters once were. There were two windows on the second floor of the middle block, but the fenestration on the first floor was obscured. Much of the glazing was broken. The roof on the main block was not in good condition. The grass was tall in front of the building.
