3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills before its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. This view focuses on the front of the main block and its gable end. The house was all built at once in 1847. There was a porch on each block. The main entry door was on the left on the first floor, with two windows on the right. There were three windows on the second floor. There were light rectangles on the main block where shutters once were. On the gable end, there were two windows near the roof peak, one boarded over. Much of the clapboard was missing. On the second floor, there were also two windows, one partially boarded over. Siding was missing there also. On the first floor there were two more windows; the one nearest the front was completely covered. Some of the glazing was broken. The roof on the main block was not in good condition. There was a rough fence across the end of the building with a tire decorating a fence post.
