Description

3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills before its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This view focused on the porch of the small addition. What had been a shake roof had been covered with sheet metal and some of that had failed. There were four uneven screen panels and a screen door on the front of the porch. There had been a brick footings with a wood sill, but that was failing. The porch was three steps above the ground. ******************************************* Text on verso: none
