Gravelly Hills during renovation 13Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1989Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of the renovation of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed a closer view of the middle and main blocks and the damaged chimney. Some siding had been replaced, especially in the roof peak of the main block. Two chimneys were visible. The damaged chimney was an outside end affair that stood on the gable end of the main block and in front of the middle block. The upper third of that chimney had completely failed. The middle block had two windows on the long wall on the second floor, and a single door and window on the first floor. The main block had one window in the gable end and some sort of opening in the roof peak. There were three windows on the long wall's second floor and two windows and a door on the first floor.
