Gravelly Hills during renovation 18Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1994Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of the renovation of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed the scaffolding erected around the damaged chimney and the middle block, both front and back. One window was visible on the gable end on each side of the chimney. At least one dormer had been added to both the front and back roof. It either had new white siding or the existing and repaired siding had been painted. On the gable end of the small block there were two six over six windows, one above the other. The damaged chimney appeared to be near completion.
