Gravelly Hills during renovation 22Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1998Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of the renovation of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed the scaffolding erected on the main and middle blocks, including the gable end of the main block. The house had new white siding. There were six over six windows in the two dormers of the main block, three six over six windows on the second floor, and two six over six windows and a large door on the first floor. The scaffolding was all the way up the gable end. The siding appeared to be completely in place. There were two six over six windows on each level of the gable end and a single window in the very peak of the roof. Scaffolding was also visible at the back corner.
