Gravelly Hills during renovation 26Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2002Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of the renovation of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed the back of the main and a little of the middle blocks of the house before much work had been done. There was scaffolding on the main block to let workers get on the roof to work on two dormers and replace the roof. There were three windows visible on the second floor and one on the first floor along with an eight panel door. There was a large outside end chimney on the left enfolded into the roof of the middle block aft of the roof peak. There was a single dormer in that roof nearest the main block. The gable end of the main block was visible with two windows on each of three levels. The siding was in poor condition.
