1995.001.2010Description
3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of the renovation of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed a woman painting planks by an open window in a room that had all its plaster removed to the lath. She has on a painter's cap and lots of clothing, either to keep warm or to keep the paint in bounds. Scaffolding was visible through the window.
