3 1/8"h x 3"w sepia tone photo of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed a room with an eight panel door on the left of a dark fireplace with round pilasters, simple carving on the frieze, and a flat mantel. The door had a dark finish. The room had had all its plaster removed to the lath and the brick chimney face was exposed. The firebox had been completely cleaned.
