3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed a finished room. The dark fireplace had round pilasters, pyramids-in-a-box carving on the frieze, a flat mantel with candlesticks, vases, a clock and small plates. Over the fireplace was a framed picture of a canal in France and there were two cloth? hangings flanking the picture. To the left of the fireplace was a door. There was a firescreen with an illustration. Two chairs and a grand piano were in the foreground.
