3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed parts of two finished rooms. There were two massive thirteen panel doors, one closed and one open, in the middle of the picture. The photographer looked past that into the next room. A dark fireplace with round pilasters, pyramid-in-a-box frieze, a flat mantel, and a firescreen was on the left. Over the fireplace was a large framed picture and a cloth? hanging. There was a grand piano and a glass front shelf on the wall beyond. In the foreground were two chairs, each with a side table. There were several rugs on the floor.
