3 1/8"h x 3"w black and white photo of Gravelly Hills during its rescue by Hope Swann and Elizabeth Hoff. The house was all built at once in 1847. This photo showed a fireplace with a sunken hearth. It had round pilasters on the sides and a carved frieze with a contrasting color cartouche. There were large andirons sitting in the firebox at a drunken angle. There were lots of ashes in the fireplace. A bellows hung on the side of the fireplace and an occasional table with claw feet was on the right.
