This is a copy of an old glass negative. The negative had been completely broken. The photograph shows a large, two-story brick home known as Greenbrier with three four over four lights above and two windows and a door below, a wing on the right and a large front porch with bushes and roses in front of the porch and a white combination picket and lattice fence on the left side. There is a family group seated in the yard: Willie Greenwell, Aunt Madge, Sally Floyd Greenwell and Ann Rebecca (aka Nannie) Greenwell. An unidentified man is visible beyond the porch. There is bedding on the porch roof on the right and a hammock is strung between the porch pillar and a tree on the left. The ladies have on dark long dresses with leg-o-mutton sleeves and their hair is up. The gentleman has on a three piece light-colored suit and a dark tie. His hair is short, but he has a mustache. A large white dog with dark ears rests its head on his knee.
