Cary Carson reported on an ancient barn on the property and Mrs. Raley seemed to have done work on property transfers. June 29, 1976 Letter from Cary Carson to William A. Parr of the Maryland Park Service about the hewn log barn on the property. He judged it the last remaining example of its type in the state. The building was listed as the Bond Farm Tobacco House (SM-265) on the inventory. December 16, 1976 Letter from Donna Eisenhower to Barbara Raley engaging Raley to do historic research about the barn and property. February 16, 1977 Letter from Garry Wheeler Stone to John N. Pearce asking that a more complete cultural survey be done on the property.
