Description

3 1/8"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of the rear elevation and left gable end of Hanover. It is a substantial two story gable roof house with a two story gable roof addition on the left gable end. The siding is shingles. There is a brick inside chimney on the near end of the main roof, about a third of the way down the roof from the peak. There is a chimney in a similar situation just barely visible on the far end of the main roof with a large television antenna attached. There are three six over six double hung windows on the second floor of the main house and a pair of similar windows on the second floor of the addition. On the first floor of the addition are three six over six double hung windows. There is a single large six over six double hung window in the main house and on the far end is a hipped roof bay with three visible six over six double hung windows. The post of an open porch is visible at the far end of the main house. On the left gable end is a small rectangular vent in the peak with small returns on the cornices. On each floor there is a single six over six double hung window centered on the roof peak. There is a taller-than-a-door opening on the left corner of the wall. Two galvanized tubs are tipped up against the house. There are foundation plantings. It is a handsome house. ******************************************* Text on verso: none
