Description

3 1/8"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of the rear elevation and plain gable end of Hanover. It is a substantial two story gable roof house with a two story gable roof addition on the left gable end. The siding is shingles. There is a brick inside chimney on the far end of the main roof, about a third of the way down the roof from the peak. There is a chimney in a similar situation on the near end of the main roof with a large television antenna attached. There are three six over six double hung windows on the second floor of the main house and one visible similar window on the second floor of the addition. On the first floor of the addition are two visible six over six double hung windows. There is a single large six over six double hung window in the main house and on the near end is a hipped roof bay with three visible six over six double hung windows. On the right gable end is a single story hipped roof three bay open porch. There is a small rectangular vent in the peak of this gable end, small returns on the cornices, and a single door on the left side of the porch. There are no other openings on the gable end. Power comes into the house on the left cornice. There are foundation plantings. It is a handsome house and seems to be high on a hill. ******************************************* Text on verso: none
