Black and white 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w photo of Hard Fortune near Leonardtown from one corner of the addition. The main story and a half building is on the left. It has a single door with one window on each side, but no glass remains. There is a small square opening next to the chimney in the attic of the gable end. The shape of the chimney would indicate a fireplace is on each level. The single story addition, also with a gable roof, is on the right. There is a door and a single window on the side wall and a door on the left edge of the gable end. The roof on the main building is metal and the roof on the addition is shingles, probably shakes. The chimney is between the main building and the addition. The house is in deplorable condition.
The roof on the addition is pretty well caved in on the side to the camera.
