Scope and Content

Canvassing information for the Harry Hughes election campaign. Includes a list of tips for canvassing and a telephone canvassing script for volunteers to use. There are also instructions for canvassers regarding telephone canvassing and a sheet to record data about the calls made. The Hughes campaign also provides information about how to vote by absentee ballot and Election day drivers for voters. There is a blank sign up sheet for people who need to be driven to the polls and one that is filled out (sponsored by the Hughes campaign). For election day itself, there are specific instructions for headquarters and poll workers. Included at the end is a blank Challenger's and Watcher's Certificate for the November 7th, 1978 general election.
