Description

This is an 8"h x 10"w black and white photo of the Lona B., a head boat from Scheible's fishing center in Wynne. Sixteen men and women are visible on the craft. Perhaps they are waiting for the photographer to get on board so the boat can push off. Toward the bow there are three people "framed" by two pilings; the woman on the right with a hat on is Dorothy Briscoe. Buck Briscoe worked hard to market fishing opportunities in the county. ************************************************* Text on verso: typewritten "Head boat 'Lona B' Scheible's Fishing Center Wynne, St. Mary's County, Md.
