Description

Black and white photo of Helen Hayes and children on the beach at Holly Shores. Miss Hayes is accompanied by five little girls. The two little girls on the left, the daughters of Hayes' cook, are identically dressed and are twins. The two girls with braids have on sunsuits and the girl with short hair has on a plaid dress. Miss Hayes is in a knit bathing suit. It appeared to be a windy day. The bay is behind them. Some sort of sizable craft is going by. Hayes' father had a summer home on Cedar Point; the actress' family spent time there in the summers. Below her image is the catchphrase for the exhibit, "Celebrating the Women of St. Mary's County's Past."
