3 3/8"h x 4 3/4"w black and white photo of the Hayden Hotel. At the time of the photo, the dwelling was a private home. This view was from a distance across the yard and showing a long side and a gable end with an addition on the rear. It was a large house, of course. It had a standing seam roof with a large dormer in the center of the long side and deep cornice returns on the gable end. There was an inside chimney just to the right of center on the main roof peak and another chimney on the back of the addition behind the main building. There were two large aerials on the house. There was a six over six window in the dormer and another in the peak of the gable end. There was a single window on the second floor of the gable end and five large shuttered windows on the long side. There was a single six over six window on the first floor of the gable end and probably four windows and a door on the long side; details were obscured by a five bay porch that was one bay deep and had a flat roof. There was a little gingerbread at the top of each column. The porch floor was two steps above the ground. The addition in the right back had a long shed roof from the second floor over the three bay porch on the corner. The large yard had small shrubs and a gazebo/well house in the foreground. There were fence posts, but the fencing was not visible and may have been gone. In the right background was another large house with a two level screened porch.
