3 5/8"h x 3 3/8"w sepia tone photo of Hotel St. Mary's from the side toward the courthouse. The photographer was standing in an empty field in the winter time. There was a wire fence between the photographer and the hotel. This view was of a gable end and across the front of the building, with part of the ell in the rear also visible. The hotel was two and a half stories tall on a very high basement. The ell in the back was the same, except it was not as high off the ground. There were three four light windows on each floor of the gable end, six dormers in the roof in the front and three visible dormers in the roof in the ell. There was also a very large center gable that gave added space to the second floor and attic of the main building. There were six windows on the second floor front and three visible windows in the second floor of the ell. There was a massive porch on the first floor front of the building and another large porch on the visible side of the ell. There was a stair from the porch to the ground on the gable end and a large central stair on the front. Another two story building was visible beyond the hotel.
