8"h x 10"w black and white photo of the Hyattsville railroad station. It may have been built about the same time as the Forest Glen station because the roofs are similar. The photo shows two elevations. The one on the left faces up the tracks and has a Hyattsville sign high up on a decorative dormer. To the left of the dormer is a round roof over a rounded corner of the building. Directly behind the dormer is the chimney, just below the roof peak. On the other elevation, there are fish scale shingles on the upper part of the gable end, with a half circle air vent in that face. The building itself was either a story and a half or had very high ceilings. The gable elevation had a center door with a transom that was three steps above thee ground. It was flanked by a single window on each side. The other elevation had five visible narrow windows, three with striped awnings. Behind the large building was a lower wing with a long sloping roof that included a big overhang. There was an eyebrow vent in the mid roof. There was a small shelter on the left of the photo that may have been across the tracks. There may also have been tracks that ran close to the big building.
