The group was seated next to a building that may have had a screened porch. Mr. Dent had on a black hat that shaded his face, but his white mustache and beard were visible. He had on a black suit with black vest and white shirt. He appeared to be wearing slippers rather than shoes. He had a cane in his left hand. His right arm was extended across his wife's lap so they could hold right hands. Her left hand was around his right arm. Mrs. Dent's hair was parted in the middle and pulled back. She had on a light colored striped long dress and a dark shawl. She had on dark shoes. The little boy had on rolled up trousers, a long sleeved shirt, and maybe a bow tie. He had on high button shoes.
