This map book is called "Index to property maps of St. Mary's County Maryland" copyright [by] Map Division--1967 Md. Dept. of Assess. & Tax. On the cover there is a map of the county overlaid with the location of the numbered sheets in the book; number one is on the north edge of the county and number seventy four is at Point Lookout. Sheet fifty-eight is missing. A black stamp on the cover says "SM-72-1." Each map sheet advises the user that the maps do not take the place of the legal survey and each sheet has been revised to January 1972. Each map is numbered in the lower right hand corner; the edges of each map indicate which sheet to use to continue one's examination. Mrs. Raley photocopied several sheets of the southern part of the county and made notes on them; the sheets are in front of the book.Collection
