Scope and Content

1 sheet folded; 8 1/2" x 10 3/4" This invitation was placed in two envelopes and sent to Cadet J.C. Burch at Wilbur Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. Presumably the young man was preparing for his part in World War I. A 9/16" "gold" seal is above the text. Stamped in the seal is "SMA" and "Nom sisi sed omnisus." Text: "The Sisters of Charity and the Graduating Class of Nineteen Hundred Eighteen request your presence at the Annual Exercises Tuesday morning, June eleventh at ten o'clock St. Mary's Academy, Leonardtown, Md." Inside the colors and flower of the class are listed and then the graduates, ten in all. Presumably Katherine Forest Burch is a sister of J.C. Burch.
