Description

3 1/2"h x 4 3/4"w black and white photo of the J. L. Davis house. It was a large white house on a slight rise above the photographer. It appeared to have a hipped roof and at least one chimney on the left. There was a shed roof dormer with a pair of side by side windows on this elevation. On the second floor were five windows without shutters. There was a slightly sloped porch roof that covered a porch with two bays. There was one window on the first floor on the left, a window, the entry door, and another window all under the porch roof, and then a single window on the right. There may have been an addition or porch on the right, but a large tree obscured the details. ********************************** Text on verso: in black pen "J L Davis -- Home Guyther Photo" and in purple ink on a piece of tape "150% Page 170 Top"
