2019.006.0001Scope and Content
Remains of a two ring notebook created by J.E. Harrison. He lived in Charlotte Hall as a child and went to Charlotte Hall School. He taught, was a representative of steamship lines, edited several marine magazines, and had a second career as a deacon in the Episcopal church. There are many pictures of Coole Springs, CHS, houses and buildings in Charlotte Hall, houses and buildings elsewhere in the county, news clippings about himself and his friends, and a handful of pictures of African-Americans at work. The donor was a great niece of Harrison; she remembers him fondly.Collection
