Description

Black and white photo of the exterior of Jean's Sportswear, Inc. from the northeast corner of the property in Leonardtown, Md. The concrete block building has a brick face on the street side where it appears to be one story, but it also has a lower level visible from the side. The building has a central doorway with paneling around the entry space and three small windows vertically stepped from left to right in the door itself. There are four windows in the front brick wall, each with three awning style openings. The window block is delineated by light colored brick worked all the way around each group of windows. The windows on the right are all open, but only one of the four windows on the left is open. The others are presumably cooled by through-the-wall air conditioners visible underneath. Open windows are visible on the side of the building, as well. Centered over the door is a large light-colored panel containing the letters spelling out "Jean's Sportwear Inc." One large sweet-gum tree is in the yard in front of the building. Mr. Briscoe apparently had a lot to do with the company locating in Leonardtown, Md.
