Prayer card for John Hanson Briscoe, attorney, member of the House of Delegates, Speaker of the House of Delegates, judge, chair of Historic St. Mary's City Commission, president of the St. Mary's County Historical Society, on the board of Historic Sotterley Mansion Foundation. Judge Briscoe passed away in January of 2014. There was a verse from e. e. cummings on the back of his card which was produced by Brinsfield Funeral Home.
Photo of Judge Briscoe taken at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. He had on a plaid cap and a rain jacket. Cliffs of Moher was one of his favorite places, so his family used the photo on their thank you card after the funeral.Collection
