This particular Johnson family lived and farmed in the Bushwood area of St. Mary's County. The father, Julius, eventually became the county's expension agent for many years. J. Leonard Johnson served in the Navy in WW II. Bernard Ignatius Johnson served in the Korean conflict and then went to the University of Maryland. He became a biology teacher in St. Mary's County Schools and soon moved into administration. He never married and when he passed away, his effects were auctioned off. The Society has received bits and pieces about him from people who had bought material at the auction and passed it on to us.Collection
