1980.001.0208Description
6 1/2"h x 4 3/8"w sepia tone image on a two tone board of Joseph Key as a young boy seated on an invisible chair. He had a round face, a sort of Napoleanic haircut, and bright dark eyes. He had on a white sailor suit with a white tie and large white buttons on the striped cuffs of the sleeves. There was a dark band on his right upper sleeve, whether for decoration or in mourning is not known. He also had on a white turtleneck shirt, so the photo may have been taken in the winter. He was a very attractive child who did not survive to adulthood.
