Light brown leather bound, embellishments (also brown) with gold trim, on spine "JOURNAL C" "No. 2" "S. & G." Slight/moderate damage to spine and cover. Inner cover decorated with marbling: greenish yellow, brown, and red. First page: "Leonardtown 1857." First date noted is Thursday, October 1st, 1857. Last page with writing is November 1860 on page 327. Book halfway filled out. Pages in good condition, overall stable.
