Description

Sepia-tone photo of a jousting meet at Leonard Hall School. The line holding the ring is just visible on the near arch--it appears to end at the corner of the distant school. There is a raised judging or viewing stand on the right and a cluster of horsemen and horsewomen in the center of the photo. The two men in the center of the viewing stand group may be priests. The man in the left foreground may be holding a camera. The text on the verso was by George Morgan Knight, Jr. ******************************************* Text on verso: Photocopy of what had been glued on "xxxxxx First two pictures show Knights at the Tournament receiving their charge from the speakers stand, and from their rear at the St. John's Tournament ? at Leonard Hall The lady riders are the heralds that escort the Knights to the Judges stand, after their mad charge through the arches. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$"
