Two certificates that acknowledge Judge James J. Stone as a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland for the seventh Election District of St. mary's County. One is from April 25, 1929, and is signed by Governor Albert C. Ritchie and Secretary of State David C. Winebrenner III. The other is from April 28, 1931, and signed by the same governor and secretary of state. Both are official records with the seal of Maryland.
