3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w black and white photo of Kirk House in Scotland. This photo is either overexposed or lightstruck in the upper right corner. This was a two and a half story brick gable roofed house with a pair of inside end chimneys on the left. The chimney stacks were quite tall in relation to the house. In this view, there were two dormers in the roof that also had gable roofs and light colored siding and six over six double hung windows. In the gable end of the house there was a window near the roof peak and two others on the same level as the dormers. There were no other windows on that face. On the front of the house, second floor, were three nine over six windows with dark shutters. On the first floor on the far right was an elaborate gable roof porch cover with a pediment with a rounded arch set on four posts. At some point, this rather small space was screened and a narrow door was the entry way. The porch was five steps above the ground. To the left of the porch were two nine over nine windows with dark shutters. A television antenna was attached to the pediment of the porch. A basement window? was visible under the leftmost window. On the left side of the house was an unfortunate Victorian addition. The low story and a half building had a gable roof parallel to the main house. There was a covered porch just visible on the far left of the image. There were scalloped verge boards on the eaves. The first floor window was covered with plastic.
