Description

This guide is an official print on Lancaster Castle from the 1970s. The front cover has a black and white frontal shot of Lancaster Castle and it's easy to see that the castle was built in the 11th century. The weather-worn stonework gives a very foreboding appearance. The guide covers a variety of topics including the castle's nature as a prison for many centuries. Political prisoners, those of opposing faiths, people accused of witchcraft and so much more. A number of notable rooms are given attention to along with some interior shots of some of the rooms. The second page of the guide mentions it was published by the Lancashire County Council.
