1 folder ; 9 5/8" x 11 3/4" Mrs. Coad was admitted to Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. on January 30, 1964. She must have been in a bad way, because the receipts indicate she had surgery and needed three pints of blood. She had private duty nurses in the hospital and again after she was discharged. The date of discharge is not clear, but it was sometime in mid-February. The private duty nurses were in place again, presumably at Mrs. Coad's home, in late March and early April. All of this was before Medicare, so Mrs. Coad had to pay for all of this herself.
