Laying the cornerstoneEntry/Object ID
1995.001.2432Description
3"h x 4 3/16"w black and white photo of the crowd present when the cornerstone was laid for the new Calvert Hall at Saint Mary's Female Seminary. The original building had burned during winter break. Cecilia Coad Roberts, the oldest living graduate at the time, did the honors. St. Mary's Hall was in the background. This image was cut from something, possibly a magazine. No copy was made because it would only be an incomprehensible series of dots.
