Description

Black and white enlarged photo 10"h x 8"w of the Leonard Hall School baseball team of ten players. The young men were in three lines on a set of porch steps. Their uniforms were light colored shirts and pants with an undershirt with striped sleeves. A large L and H were on the fronts of the shirts. Baseball bats were laid on the ground in front of the group to spell out L H. Seated to the left on the porch was another baseball player with a different shirt--perhaps a member of an opposing team. One large two over two window with dark shutters was dimly visible on the building behind the porch. Above the porch were four two over two windows with dark shutters. The window on the right appeared to have curtains. Mr. Fenwick pasted a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" copy of the photo on the verso, numbered the people included and tried to identify them. He was successful with nine out of twelve individuals. ******************************************* Text on verso: "Leonard Hall School baseball team Leonardtown, Maryland Spring 1911 1.
