3 3/8"h x 3 1/4"w black and white photo of Leonardtown Public School. According to Mr. Fenwick, it was built by Vincent Camalier in 1859 and this can be confirmed in Camalier's daybook. It was used as a shop by Sam Wallace and as a residence by Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Abell. This side of the building was right next to a road or driveway. It was a gable roofed building with a porch on the left and an addition on the right. Just at the point where the roof turned up from the porch to the peak, several courses of clapboard had broken away. There was a door on the left, a window in the center of the gable end, and a window in the center of the addition. The building was a ruin and overgrown with weeds.
