3 1/2"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of the Leonardtown Elementary School. It was typical for its day--long, low, looking like a series of boxes under one roof. There was a center entry with a double door, six classrooms on the left, offices? on the right, and more classrooms in a right wing. There was a tall brick wall that included the chimney and a high gymnasium area behind it. The photo was probably taken on the Washington's birthday holiday. The photographer was far out in the field to get the whole edifice in the picture. The name of the school was in large white letters on top of the entrance overhang.
