Description

This is a photograph of eight members of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Dept. It was probably taken in the summer because two men had on light colored sport coats; all the men were dressed in coat, white shirt, and necktie. There had been a dinner at the long table before them. There was a paneled wall behind them with two large metal trays and the department's banner hanging on the wall. A Maryland flag was on a stand near the right edge of the photo. ***************************************************** Text on the verso: handwritten in dark blue ink "L. to R. Dale Cropper, LeRoy McNey, Kenneth B. Duke, Barnard I. Smith, Roland B. Duke, Frank Guy, Morris Thrift, Louis Edwards. by Marschalk ? spelling Chas. E. Fenwick"
