Leonardtown Wharf after the fire 5Entry/Object ID
1995.001.2440Description
3 1/2"h x 4 3/8"w color photo of the aftermath of a large fire on the Leonardtown Wharf. There was an ice and fuel business on the wharf. There was a disagreement between the land owners and the business owner and one night the business went up in flames. The remains seen in these photos were on the wharf for over a decade. In this photo, the remains of a chimney loomed above piles of mostly metal rubble. A wooden barrier just to the right of center was all that stood between a drunk driver and the bottom of the bay.
