Letter from J.D. Heaton-Armstrong to JuliaEntry/Object ID
2014.013.0193Description
This is the letter J.D. Heaton-Armstrong sent containing the results of what he was able to find during his search for Julia. He regrettably informs her that despite his search he never found anything specifically pertaining to any information on Captain Nicholas Gwyther's family in England. He does mention that aside from the lack of information on that end that he did find to interesting references Julia may wish to look into. The first reference is of J.D. coming across modern relatives with the spelling Gwyther that Nicholas also shared. The second reference is of a man named George Gwyther who had a Royal License and Grant of Armorial Bearings. Apparently George was given authorization for a Royal License in 1817. He ends the letter saying he could do a more intensive search but Julia would need to cover the cost of it.Collection
