1 p. ; 8 1/2" x 11" This sheet of stationery is a typed letter from Joseph A. Wilmer, chair of the Coronation Committee of the Court of the Magic Weed, congratulating Miss Virginia Duke on being selected as the St. Mary's County Princess to the Court of the Magic Weed. The Tobacco Festival was to be held in La Plata on September 26 and 27, 1941. Miss Duke would be provided room and meals and even an escort if she did not want to bring her own. Transportation was also provided. The stationery is extremely brittle. A photocopy of the letter is included.
